Art and Design has and is a massive part of my life.
I'm a multidisciplinary artist specialising in bespoke mural designs.
My brain is an explosion of mayhem and colour.
I like an informal approach to creating and enjoy mixing media showing individuality and character!
Bland is not for me, however the fundamentals of good design are smart, clean, sharp and timeless.
I don’t believe that we have to follow any rules, be it interior or personal, best to enjoy the freedom of being creative & yourself.
That's a big enough reason to celebrate!
I have tons of experience behind me when it comes to art & design. It all started back in primary school when I was obsessed with attending after school art club (yes I was that kid).
Growing up my grandfather was a Visual Merchandiser/Interior Designer. He was extremely creative and could turn a hand to basically anything. I always went to him for advice as I knew he had a really good eye for detail and design. I studied at Loughborough university graduating in Textile multimedia design.
I enjoy an element of surprise in design, this is why my murals are totally bespoke and cater to the client, we work on the vision together.
It took me to the grand old age of 31 to abandon the search for "real life" structure, believe in my own ability and follow my own creative path.
I think as an artist you're always your own worst critic.
My mind goes from 0-100 with ideas, sometimes it's hard to focus but what comes after is MAGIC!
I guess any advice I would give is, trust the process, don't give up & trust in yourself because it's you against you at the end of the day may as well make it a fun one!
